Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to registrations for Ethics Olympiad events and training days run by Ethics Olympiad Pty Ltd (ABN 52 606 554 367). By registering, a school agrees to these terms.
Registering
A registration is confirmed once you receive a registration invoice after completing the registration form on our website. Places on each date are limited. If a date is full, we will let you know if a place becomes available.
Fees and payment
Fees are in Australian dollars and are the rates shown on the registration page at the time of registering. The payment due date is shown on your invoice.
Cancelling a registration
We need at least two months’ notice to cancel a registration. Please email admin@ethicsolympiad.org with your school name and event date.
- With two months’ notice or more: the fee is credited towards a future booking. If a credit is not suitable, a refund is available on request.
- With less than two months’ notice: the full fee is forfeited.
If your school can no longer attend its chosen date, you can ask to move to another date instead, subject to availability.
Changes by Ethics Olympiad
We may need to change an event’s date, time or format, or cancel an event. If this happens, we will contact you as early as we can and offer another date or a refund.
Bye rounds
We make every effort to ensure an even number of teams on each event day, so that every team is paired with another team in each heat. Where the number of teams on the day is uneven, a bye round cannot be avoided, and a different school team will have a bye each round. By registering, schools acknowledge and accept that a bye round may occur.
Teams
Teams ideally have four or five students. Smaller teams may be accepted depending on the circumstances, so please contact us if your school cannot field a full team.
