Submit your case
Entries must be supported by a teacher or coach at a member school. We’ll confirm your submission by email.
Submission limits
Students may submit more than one case. However, a maximum of five cases may be submitted per school, whether individually or collaboratively.
If a student submits multiple cases, only one will be eligible to win a prize.
Collaboration
Collaborative submissions are permitted, with due credit given to all contributors.
To simplify administration, one person must submit the entry and take responsibility for any distribution of prize money.
Originality
All submissions must be original work.
Appropriately cited excerpts, such as short news quotes, may be included.
Video cases (Junior & Middle School)
Video submissions must be edited and include credits.
If selected, permission will be required to make the video available to schools via YouTube.
Ownership & use
All submissions become the property of the Ethics Olympiad.
Entries may be used, in full or in part, in future case sets, including those not selected as prize winners. Cases may be edited after evaluation.
Judging criteria
Entries will be assessed on overall merit, the strength and interest of the moral issue presented, quality of writing, and suitability for an Ethics Olympiad.
